First Aid Courses

Learn how to spot a veterinary emergency and recognise what you can treat at home.
The workshop will include:
  • CPR
  • bandaging
  • treatment of poisoning
  • burns
  • fractures
  • collapse
  • choking etc
Dogs, cats and small furries will be covered.
This will be taught by Registered Veterinary Nurses using a mix of lecture and hands-on practical.  
Certificates and a first aid handbook will be issued at the end of the end of the workshop.
Cost per person: £45.00 Please note minimum numbers apply.

CPD Couses

Introduction to Acupuncture/ Acupressure

  • 9.30-9.45 – Arrival and coffee
  • 9.45-10.00 – Introductions
  • 10.00-10.30 – WHY (which conditions is it commonly useful in and general introduction, Safety, Contraindications, and case selection)
  • 10.30-10.50 – Break
  • 11.00 – 12.00 – HOW (very brief overview of neurophysiology and the anatomy of acupuncture, how we understand it works plus very brief overview of TCM)
  • 12.00-13.00 – Lunch
  • 13.00 – 14.00 – WHERE (practical point selection with live demo).
  • 14.00-14.30 – summary and brief overview of which points are useful for which conditions.
Cost per person: £80.00 on behalf of the International Association of Animal Therapists. This is five hours of CPD, certificate issued.
